Eric has also handled a number of highly complex probate and family matters, including divorces.
Eric was appointed by the Hon. Francis M. McDonald, Chief Justice of Connecticut’s Supreme Court as an Attorney Trial Referee for the State of Connecticut.
Eric attended St. Lawrence University, B.A., 1979 and Tulane University School of Law, J.D. 1982, where he was on the Editorial Board of The Maritime Lawyer 1980_1982, and was Chief Administrator _ Honor Board 1981_1982.
Eric is admitted in the following, New York and Connecticut; United States District Courts, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and Connecticut and United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third and Eleventh Circuits.
At various times, Eric has served on the Boards of The Greenwich Chapter of the American Red Cross, The Greenwich Chapter of the Boys and Girls Club, The Greenwich Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America, was a member of The Greenwich Land Trust, Greenwich Clean & Green, Greenwich Riding Trails Association and was an Associate of Greenwich Republican Town Committee.

JAMES M. KAVANAGH
Jim was born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut and has been practicing real estate law in Greenwich since graduating from law school. Jim went to Arizona State University for undergrad and The Univeristy of Notre Dame Law School.
Jim is recognized as one of the leading residential real estate lawyers in Connecticut, and focuses primiarily in Fairfield County. Jim was Connecticut State-wide Counsel to First American Title Company, before moving to private practice. Jim handles residential sales, purchases and refinancing and also acts as a closing attorney for a number of banks and real estate entities. Jim also prepares simple wills and estate documents that are not tax driven.
